I’m the photographer who will gently tell you there is food in your teeth, fix the flyaways you worked so hard to tame, and digitally steam the dress you didn't have time to touch that morning. I have strong opinions when they are helpful, and I know when to stop directing and let a moment happen.
I studied at the New York Film Academy and spent more than a decade working in the creative industry, where I learned that great work is not just beautiful. It is thoughtful, specific, and rooted in a real story.
Then I got married, became a mother, and photography got so much more personal.
I never believed people when they told me not to blink. It sounded like something people said because they had forgotten how long a Tuesday afternoon with a toddler can be.
Then I had two children, and it was suddenly, annoyingly true.
Now, in a world where AI can generate almost anything from a prompt, real photographs feel even more important. AI cannot recreate your child at three, the way your partner looked at you on your wedding day, or the dog who was beside you through an entire chapter of your life.
I care deeply about color, light, wardrobe, and every small detail that makes an image feel finished. So deeply, in fact, that my husband and I have had heated arguments about whether something is orange or red.
I will guide you, fix what needs fixing, and help everyone feel comfortable. Your children do not need to behave perfectly. Your partner does not need to love the camera. Your dog almost certainly will not listen.
That part is my job.
There are very few images of me growing up, and even fewer of my parents or what their lives looked like before I was old enough to remember them. I have always felt that absence. It has left me curious about the ordinary things no one thought to photograph and, honestly, a little resentful that so much of our family’s story was never preserved.
That is why great photographs of my own relationship, marriage, children, and our life together have always been non-negotiable.
I believe photographs should be beautiful enough to live on your walls, honest enough to still look like you, and made with enough care to outlast the screen where you first see them. Whether they begin with a proposal, a wedding, or a growing family, they preserve the people you were and the life you were building at that exact point in time.
They give the people you love something I wish I had: a way to see the life and love that existed before they were there to remember it.
I cannot create the photographs I wish I had.
But I can make sure my family, and yours, have theirs.
