When you’re unsure, I love to co-create a Pinterest board together. It helps us weed out the styles you don’t like, highlight the ones you do, and build a clear visual direction for your session.

You don’t need a perfect plan — just a few feelings, colors, or moments you love, and I’ll help shape the rest into something beautiful and uniquely yours.

Clothing can make or break your photos, so here’s the honest truth: simple, neutral, and textured always photographs best.

Please avoid extreme colors (bright red, neon anything, hot pink), loud patterns, big logos, or anything that competes with your faces — they pull focus and date your images fast.

Think soft tones, warm neutrals, denim, knits, linen, flowy fabrics, and pieces you can move and cuddle in without thinking twice.

Once you book, I’ll send over a detailed style guide (with examples + Pinterest ideas) so you know exactly what works beautifully on camera — and what to skip.

The goal: outfits that complement your family, not distract from it.

It depends on the stage of “us” you’re in — proposals, engagements, maternity, newborn, milestones, or family sessions all have different location sweet spots. Charlotte has so many beautiful outdoor spots, but in-home sessions (especially for newborns and early milestones) are some of my favorites because they feel real, relaxed, and personal.

I don’t have a studio yet, but we can rent one for a clean, minimal look if that’s your style (studio fees apply).
